• The Power of Truth: The Inner Freedom That Changes Everything

The Power of Truth: The Inner Freedom That Changes Everything

From the moment we wake up and look into the mirror to the carefully curated images we share on social media, many of us spend our lives protecting an identity that isn’t entirely real.

Ironically, maintaining this false image is often more exhausting than working hard. The farther we drift from our authentic selves, the more stress, anxiety, and dissatisfaction begin to dominate our lives.

So, what is the way out?

    The answer begins with truth.

    What Does Truth Really Mean

Truth is not merely about speaking honestly. It is the willingness to see reality exactly as it is, without adding illusions, expectations, or personal bias.

Although this sounds simple, accepting reality is one of the greatest challenges in human life. Most people try to reshape life according to their desires instead of understanding it. When reality refuses to follow our expectations, frustration, anger, and suffering naturally arise.

This is where the true power of truth begins.

Life Is a Journey, Not a Competition

One undeniable fact of life is that every person who is born will one day die. Our existence is a brief journey between these two moments.

The problem begins when we transform this journey into a race. We constantly compare ourselves with others, chase more wealth, seek greater recognition, and attempt to control everything around us.

Yet the deeper truth is that much of life will always remain beyond our control.

Understanding this changes the way we live.

The Bhagavad Gita and the Wisdom of Detached Action

The Bhagavad Gita teaches one of the most profound principles of human life:

“You have the right to perform your duty, but never to the fruits of your actions.”

This teaching reminds us that our responsibility lies in our actions, not in controlling every outcome.

When we focus on sincere effort instead of obsessing over results, our minds become calmer and more resilient.

Success often creates the illusion that everything has been achieved through personal effort alone.

But is that the complete truth?

Our character is shaped by countless influences—our parents, teachers, friends, experiences, society, books, opportunities, and even unexpected circumstances.

The ego ignores these contributions and creates a false sense of individual greatness. Truth dissolves this illusion and replaces pride with humility.

Osho's Perspective: Freedom Beyond False Identity

Osho described ego as a false identity rather than our true self.

According to him, truth is not a belief to be accepted but an experience to be lived. It cannot be borrowed from books or inherited through tradition. Every individual must discover it within.

People often identify themselves through their profession, wealth, achievements, or social status. However, when these external labels disappear, the deeper question remains:

    Who are we without them?

The power of truth allows us to move beyond these temporary identities and reconnect with our authentic nature. In that freedom, comparison disappears and inner peace naturally arises.

    Gautama Buddha's Search for Truth

Gautama Buddha did not begin his journey to establish a religion. He began by seeking an answer to human suffering.

After years of meditation and self-discovery, he realized that suffering grows when people refuse to accept reality as it is.

Everything in life changes. Nothing remains permanent.

The ability to observe reality without resistance is what Buddha called true awareness.

Acceptance does not mean giving up—it means seeing clearly before responding wisely.

Truth is challenging not because the path is full of obstacles, but because it demands that we transform ourselves instead of blaming the world.

    Consider modern social media.

It is easy to display a perfect lifestyle with filters, edited photographs, and carefully selected moments.

What is difficult is admitting loneliness, failure, fear, or uncertainty.

We may deceive others for a while, but we cannot permanently deceive ourselves.

The journey toward truth requires us to overcome:

    • Dishonesty and greed
    • Jealousy and anger
    • Ego and constant comparison
    • Attachment and unhealthy expectations

For this reason, history remembers truth not as an ordinary virtue but as one of humanity’s greatest spiritual strengths.

    1. It Builds Genuine Confidence

People who live honestly do not need to remember countless lies. Their minds remain clear, creating natural confidence.

    2. It Reduces Mental Stress

Every lie creates another lie to protect it. Truth removes this burden and brings psychological freedom.

    3. It Strengthens Relationships

Trust is built through honesty. Without truth, even the strongest relationships eventually become fragile.

    4. It Increases Self-Respect

The moment we become honest with ourselves, genuine self-respect begins to grow from within.

Truth Is the Foundation of Inner Freedom.

Many people believe freedom comes from money, success, or social status.

    Real freedom is internal.

When you no longer fear losing an artificial image or defending false stories, your mind becomes light and peaceful.

Truth is not merely a moral principle.

It is a path toward inner liberation.

Truth may not guarantee wealth or fame.

It may not make you the most successful person in the world.

But it has the extraordinary power to free you from fear, ego, and inner conflict.

Osho saw truth as the doorway to awareness.

Gautama Buddha recognized it as the path beyond suffering.

The Bhagavad Gita teaches us to embrace reality while dedicating ourselves to sincere action.

Ultimately, the greatest gift of truth is that it reconnects us with our authentic self.

And once a person discovers their true self, they have found life’s greatest treasure.

What is the true power of truth?

Truth frees the mind from fear, dishonesty, ego, and emotional burden. It creates inner peace, clarity, and authentic confidence.

What does the Bhagavad Gita teach about truth?

The Bhagavad Gita encourages us to focus on our actions rather than becoming attached to outcomes. Accepting reality while performing our duties sincerely is a practical expression of truth.

What did Gautama Buddha teach about truth and suffering?

Buddha explained that suffering arises when we resist reality and cling to unrealistic expectations. By seeing life clearly and accepting its ever-changing nature, we move toward wisdom and lasting peace.

Q4. What did Osho say about truth?

Answer: According to Osho, truth is not something to be believed but something to be experienced. He taught that the ego is a false identity, and only by dropping our masks, conditioning, and illusions can we discover our authentic self. In Osho’s view, truth brings awareness, inner freedom, and lasting peace.

    A Note for Our Readers

Truth is not always easy to accept, but it is always worth embracing. Every small step toward honesty, self-awareness, and acceptance brings you closer to inner peace and freedom.

  • The Silent Damage of Overthinking: Insights from Buddha, Osho, and the Bhagavad Gita

Person lying awake at night due to overthinking

Have you ever replayed the same conversation in your mind dozens of times? Have you spent sleepless nights worrying about mistakes from the past or uncertainties about the future?

If your answer is yes, then you have experienced overthinking.

In today’s fast-paced world, overthinking has become one of the most common mental struggles. While thinking helps us solve problems and make better decisions, excessive thinking can trap us in a cycle of anxiety, stress, and self-doubt.

Let us understand what overthinking is, why it happens, its harmful effects, and how we can overcome it.

Overthinking is the habit of repeatedly analyzing situations, problems, conversations, or future possibilities without reaching a meaningful conclusion.

A person who overthinks often gets stuck in endless mental loops. Instead of taking action, they continue to imagine different outcomes, revisit past events, and worry about future uncertainties.

    Healthy thinking helps us grow.

    Overthinking keeps us stuck.

Unrealistic Expectations: Many people place excessive expectations on themselves and others. When reality fails to meet those expectations, the mind begins analyzing every possible reason behind the disappointment.

Relationship Insecurities: Relationships are one of the biggest sources of overthinking. Questions like “Does this person really care about me?” or “Why haven’t they replied yet?” create endless mental stress.

Ego and Fear of Failure: People often fear making mistakes or appearing imperfect. This fear causes them to overanalyze every decision before taking action.

Comparing Ourselves with Others: Social media has made comparison easier than ever. Constantly comparing our lives, careers, or relationships with others fuels overthinking.

Lack of Present-Moment Awareness: When the mind is not anchored in the present, it naturally drifts toward regrets about the past and worries about the future.

    The Harmful Effects of Overthinking

Poor Sleep Quality: Overthinking intensifies at night, making it difficult to fall asleep peacefully.

😟 Anxiety and Mental Stress: Constant mental analysis increases anxiety and emotional exhaustion.

📉 Reduced Productivity: Overthinkers spend more time thinking than acting, leading to missed opportunities.

💔 Relationship Problems: Misunderstandings and assumptions created by overthinking damage bonds.

🕊️ Loss of Inner Peace: A mind that never stops thinking rarely experiences true happiness.

Buddha teaching mindfulness and present moment awareness

Buddha observed that much of human suffering comes from attachment to the past and anxiety about the future. One of the most powerful teachings associated with Buddhism is:

According to Buddha, mindfulness is the key to overcoming overthinking. When we become fully aware of the present moment, unnecessary thoughts gradually lose their power. The more present we become, the less we suffer from mental noise.

Osho teaching witness consciousness and self observation

Osho believed that thinking is useful, but excessive thinking becomes a disease. According to Osho, most people live inside their minds rather than experiencing life directly.

He emphasized meditation, silence, and self-observation (Witnessing or Sakshi Bhaav) as tools for breaking free from constant mental chatter.

Krishna guiding Arajuna through confusion and overthinking

he Bhagavad Gita provides one of the most practical solutions to overthinking. When Arjuna became overwhelmed by confusion and fear on the battlefield, Lord Krishna guided him toward action rather than endless mental analysis.

Lord Krishna gives the ultimate formula for a calm mind in Chapter 2, Verse 47:

(You have the right to perform your duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions.)

Much of our overthinking comes from worrying about results that are beyond our control. The Gita teaches us to focus on our actions while letting go of excessive attachment to outcomes. When we concentrate on effort rather than results, the mind becomes calmer and more focused.

Stay Busy with Meaningful Work: An idle mind creates unnecessary worries. Engaging in productive activities reduces mental clutter.

Follow a Healthy Routine: A structured daily routine gives the mind stability and discipline.

Limit Screen Time Before Sleep: Avoid mobile phone usage before bedtime. Read a book or practice meditation instead.

Focus on the Present: Ask yourself: “What can I do right now?” This brings attention back to the immediate moment.

Replace Overthinking with Planning: Write down a simple plan and take the next small step.

Planning versus overthinking comparison infographic showing key difference
    Planning  Overthinking
Focuses on solutions  Focuses on problems
Leads to action  Leads to anxiety
    Creates clarity  Creates confusion
Moves life forward  Keeps life stuck

Overthinking is one of the silent enemies of happiness. It steals our peace, weakens our confidence, and prevents us from fully enjoying life.

The wisdom of Buddha, Osho, and the Bhagavad Gita points toward the same truth:

    • Live in the present.
    • Observe your thoughts.
    • Focus on action rather than outcomes.

The moment we replace endless thinking with conscious action, life becomes lighter, clearer, and more meaningful. Remember: Overthinking creates fear. Planning creates progress.

    A Message for Readers

“If you find yourself trapped in endless thoughts, remember that peace does not come from controlling every outcome. It comes from living fully in the present moment. Take one small step today, trust the process, and allow life to unfold naturally.”

(Jealousy)

  • Why Are We So Sad?

Despite living in the most advanced age in human history, millions of people struggle with stress, anxiety, dissatisfaction and sadness.

Understanding Life Through the Lens of the Bhagavad Gita, Sadness is an emotion that arises when we lose something, or when our desires and expectations are not fulfilled.

However, if a person understands that everything in this world is temporary, even the greatest sorrow cannot disturb them for long. The sadness that comes today will eventually leave, because after every darkness, light is bound to appear.

The Eternal Message of the Bhagavad GitaHappiness and sadness are two parts of life. They come and go.

In Chapter 2, Verse 14 of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says to Arjuna:”O son of Kunti, happiness and sorrow arise from contact between the senses and their objects. They are temporary, like the changing seasons of heat and cold. Therefore, learn to endure them patiently.”

Lord Krishna clearly explains that this world is constantly changing. Nothing here is permanent. When everything is temporary and human life itself is limited, why do we remain so unhappy? The major reasons are outlined below

Greed is an endless desire for more. The more a person becomes trapped in greed, the closer they move toward their downfall. Sometimes, greed not only harms the individual but also destroys the peace of the entire family.Money is necessary for life, but a blind attachment to wealth often becomes the root cause of suffering. History and modern society both show that greed has taken away the peace, relationships, and respect of countless people.

In today’s world, many people no longer compete in a healthy way; instead, they become consumed by jealousy toward others.Healthy competition improves our abilities and motivates us to grow. Jealousy, however, destroys inner peace. When we become jealous of another person’s success, we stop focusing on our own progress. It weakens us from within and slowly becomes a constant source of sadness.

When a person becomes excessively attached to physical attractions and short-term pleasures, they often lose focus on their responsibilities, goals, and true purpose in life.

What may begin as a temporary source of pleasure can gradually consume valuable time, energy, money, and peace of mind.Whether someone is a student, an employee, or a business owner, a lack of self-control creates a severe imbalance in life.

It directly affects personal growth, relationships, character, and future success. Many people sacrifice long-term happiness for short-term gratification, only to realize later that they have drifted far away from their true goals.

Desires themselves are not the problem. The real problem begins when desires start controlling us instead of us controlling them. A balanced life requires self-discipline, wisdom, and moderation.

When a person learns to control their desires rather than becoming a slave to them, they gain greater peace, clarity, and happiness.

In today’s digital world, people constantly compare their lives with others. Social media has accelerated this destructive habit. We see the curated success of others, but we do not see their internal struggles. As a result, we become deeply dissatisfied with our own achievements.”The day a person starts comparing themselves only with their past self, half of their sadness disappears.

Even the richest people in the world often remain deeply unhappy. This is because everyone lacks something in life. The person who has money may lack time. The person who has time may lack money. The person who has both may lack good health.

Many people sacrifice their health, family, and peace of mind in the endless race to earn more money, forgetting that health is life’s greatest wealth. This chain of dissatisfaction never ends.

A person without anything envies the one who has a bicycle. The bicycle owner envies the person with a motorcycle. The motorcycle owner envies the person with a car.The car owner envies the person with a personal plane .Yet, sometimes the person with the personal plane is miserable because they cannot even sit peacefully with their family to enjoy a meal, while a simple family in a village lives happily with limited resources.

We often expect far too much from people, situations, and even from ourselves. When those unrealistic expectations are not fulfilled, disappointment and sadness naturally follow.Set high goals and work hard, but do not become overly attached to the results. The fewer expectations we carry, the fewer disappointments we face. Keep doing your duty, but do not make success or failure a matter of life and death. Sometimes life does not give us what we want; it gives us exactly what we need.

On the other hand, contentment, gratitude, self-control, and positive thinking help us remain strong even during the most difficult times. Happiness and sadness are like the two wheels of life. Just as night follows day, happiness inevitably follows sorrow.God has given every person the strength to overcome difficulties. We only need to believe in ourselves, continue our efforts, and accept that not everything in life is under our control.

The Real Secret of a Happy Life : Earn money. Achieve success. Dream big. But never sacrifice your peace, health, and relationships for them. The happiest person is not the one who possesses the most wealth, but the one who is genuinely grateful and satisfied with what they already have.

“The real cause of sadness is not the lack of possessions, but the endless dissatisfaction of the mind. The day a person learns contentment, half of their sadness disappears.

“Remember: Life is a journey, not a competition. Keep doing your duty, trust in God, and keep moving forward in every situation.

    Thank You

  • Why greed is our greatest enemy ?

    Introduction

When a human being is born, they are completely unaware of the illusions, attachments, and greed that exist in the world. A small child has very limited needs, and nature somehow provides everything necessary for their survival. However, as a person grows older, they become familiar with various attractions, desires, and ambitions. It is at this stage that attachment, materialism, self-interest, and greed gradually enter their life.

The Nature of Greed: Positive and Negative

In reality, all these emotions are a natural part of human life. Nature has given them to us for growth and progress. Greed is one of those emotions.

In a limited form, greed (which is desire) can motivate a person to work harder, achieve goals, and strive for a better life. However, when it crosses its limits, it becomes a cause of downfall.

Greed is not limited to money alone. There can be greed for power, success, love, respect, recognition, and material comforts. As long as these desires encourage a person to work honestly and follow the right path, they can be beneficial. But when someone begins to pursue them through unethical means, greed reveals its destructive nature.

The Bhagavad Gita’s Perspective on Greed

In the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna describes greed as one of humanity’s greatest enemies and a gateway to destruction.

In Chapter 16, Verse 21, he says:

“There are three gates leading to self-destruction and hell—lust, anger, and greed. Therefore, one should abandon all three.”

According to the Gita, when a person becomes excessively attached to worldly objects and outcomes, their judgment becomes clouded. Gradually, wisdom and discrimination disappear, and once wisdom is lost, downfall becomes inevitable.

The Harmful Effects of Greed in Everyday Life

    Greed in Education

The desire to achieve good marks is completely natural. It motivates students to study hard and improve themselves. However, when the desire to outperform everyone else turns into uncontrolled greed, students may choose unethical methods.

Cheating in examinations, attempting to obtain leaked question papers, or using unfair means are examples of greed taking a negative form. Such actions may bring temporary success, but they weaken a student’s character, knowledge, and future.

    Greed in Professional Life

Similarly, after securing a job, it is natural for people to want a comfortable and prosperous life. There is nothing wrong with earning more through hard work. However, when someone becomes obsessed with becoming rich overnight, greed can push them toward corruption, bribery, and dishonesty.

Uncontrolled greed can transform an honest person into someone willing to compromise their values, eventually costing them both social respect and inner peace.

    Greed in History and Cinema

History is filled with examples of how uncontrolled greed has led individuals and societies toward destruction. The great war of the Mahabharata itself was largely the result of Duryodhana’s relentless greed for power and kingdom.

In modern cinema, the acclaimed Indian film Tumbbad presents one of the most powerful portrayals of greed. The protagonist becomes obsessed with acquiring gold through Hastar, the deity associated with greed. In pursuit of endless wealth, he risks not only his own life but also the future of his family.

The central message of the film is simple yet profound:

“The world can satisfy a person’s needs, but never their greed.”

Ultimately, it is his excessive desire for gold that leads to his tragic downfall, proving that uncontrolled greed can turn a person into a prisoner of their own desires.

    Conclusion

In its initial form, desire not greed may serve as a motivation for growth and achievement. However, once it escapes the boundaries of reason and self-control, it becomes a force of destruction.

Therefore, while it is important to have ambitions and desires, it is even more important to cultivate contentment, self-discipline, and moral values.

The Bhagavad Gita teaches us that our right lies in performing our duties, not in becoming attached to the rewards. A person who focuses on improving their actions rather than obsessing over the results ultimately lives a more peaceful, meaningful, and successful life.

True happiness does not come from having more than others; it comes from learning when enough is enough.

Read in English: Self-Confidence: An Inner Strength

Read in English: Healthy Body, Healthy Mind: The Foundation of a Successful and Meaningful Life

    Colleagues fighting over money
